Isibindi Foundation

The Isibindi Foundation was established in 2019 to consolidate and expand on 23 years of community and conservation projects run by Isibindi Africa Lodges, and to give those initiatives a purpose-driven home of their own.

Its work sits around the lodges in northern KwaZulu-Natal: Thonga Beach Lodge in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, Kosi Forest Lodge near Kosi Bay, and Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. Projects range from support for local schools such as Mabibi Primary to the K9 anti-poaching unit that works alongside Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife rangers in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi.

The Foundation lets guests become philanthropic travellers, so a stay at one of these lodges can carry on giving to the communities and wildlife around it long after the trip is over.
